Violinist and conductor Jacob Joyce leads the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra in performing the award-winning music of the “Star Wars” movies.
Founded in 1895 by British composer, conductor and organist Frederic Archer (1838-1901), the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra is one of America’s oldest and most prestigious orchestras having performed around the world including a 2004 concert for Pope John Paul II (1920-2005).
The first “Star Wars” film was released in 1977 and tells of the epic struggles between good and evil in a distant galaxy. Its powerful and unforgettable score was written by composer John Williams.
