“Laugh Harder, Not Smarter” is the celebration of an American comedy institution: The Second City.
The Second City is an improvisational comedy performance and training enterprise founded in 1959 by professional comedians Bernie Sahlins (1922-2013), Paul Sills (1927-2008) and Howard Alk (1930-1982). It’s based in Chicago, which for decades was the nation’s second largest city. The Second City has consistently been a notable starting point for comedians, actors, directors and others in show business. These include many of the writers and performers of the award-winning television series “Saturday Night Live.”
This innovative and interactive performance, brought to life by the dynamic Second City Touring Company.
