From deep within the urban forest of Pittsburgh’s East End, the Squirrel Hillbillies have emerged to share their eclectic mix of folk, country and blues drawn from personal experiences, third-hand stories and vivid imaginations.

Their name is a playful combination of Squirrel Hill, one of the city’s eastern neighborhoods, and the word “hillbilly” which refers to rural people.

Admission is free. Presented as part of the Three Rivers Arts Festival, a celebration of the arts in Pittsburgh since 1960. The festival is a production of the nonprofit Pittsburgh Cultural Trust.
