This 2025 film is a sequel to the hit film adaptation of the Broadway musical “Wicked.”
“Wicked” was an inventive take on the 1900 novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz written by L. Frank Baum (1856-1919). The novel follows the adventures of a Kansas farm girl named Dorothy in a strange and mystical land called Oz. It was translated into a beloved 1939 film starring Judy Garland. “Wicked” tells the tale of Oz before Dorothy’s arrival through the relationship between two very different witches. This film continues their story.
