This thrilling 2017 superhero film has become an international sensation.

It’s the first big-screen adaptation of the comic book hero Wonder Woman. Created in 1941 by psychologist/author Charles Moulton (1893-1947), she is actually Princess Diana, royalty from the secret island kingdom of Themyscira who leaves her safe life to rescue humanity in World War II (1939-1945).

This adaptation makes some changes, moving the action to World War I (1914-1918) where Wonder Woman partners with American pilot Steve Trevor to save humanity from destroying itself.

Admission is free. Because the screening begins at dusk, the times given here are approximations. Presented by the City of Pittsburgh’s Parks & Recreation Department, commonly called CitiParks. For more information, call (412) 255-2493.
