Everything is as right as rain in this hilarious musical stage adaptation of the brilliant 1974 film of the same name.
Like the movie, this is a loving spoof of the 1818 horror novel written by English author Mary Shelley (1797-1851) — and especially the classic 1931 film version — about a scientist’s plan to defeat death by reanimating a corpse.
“Young Frankenstein” follows that scientist’s American grandson, who travels to Europe and claim his inheritance. While there, he learns that the old man’s experiments were legitimate and decides to pick up where grandfather let off.
