Established in the 1930s, the Dormont Public Library serves the communities south of Pittsburgh.
Dormont is a charming suburb with a small town feel located south of Pittsburgh just outside the city limits. It has a quaint, pedestrian-friendly business district with a mix of stores and eateries. Dormont’s name is based on the French phrase “mountain of gold.”
The current library building is a handsome, contemporary brick structure echoing elements of traditional architecture In addition to a healthy collection of reading and research material, the Dormont Public Library features a computer lab, wi-fi services and a meeting space available for rent.
STANDARD HOURS:
Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.; Friday & Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
PARKING:
Free, on-site parking is available.
