Established in 1968, the Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild (MCG) is a nonprofit multi-discipline art, education and music organization located near the city’s historic north side neighborhood of Manchester.

MCG provides its valuable and successful services from an attractive, contemporary structure designed by a former apprentice of pioneering architect Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959). Here, hundreds of young people every year participate in ceramics, photography, digital arts and painting programs. Many come from challenging backgrounds yet the skills, encouragement and empowerment that they receive from MCG results in a 90% high school graduation rate (of which 85% continue their education at a higher level).

One of their signature programs is MCG Jazz, whose mission is to preserve, present and promote jazz while contributing to the overall cultural and artistic diversity of the region. The program achieves this goal by staging performances in the guild’s intimate 350-seat concert hall.

MCG also has its own recording studio and record label (winning multiple Grammy Awards), an exhibit space and vocational training facility.
