Millvale is a small suburb just north of the Pittsburgh city line that was once a micro-hub of iron manufactures, saw works, stone works, lumber mills and breweries.

The municipality operates a public park along the Allegheny River that features a 1.7 mile bike and walking trail providing access from Millvale to Pittsburgh’s North Shore. Other facilities include a marina, boathouse and a pavilion.
