Three Stories is a flexible space designed with artists in mind created inside a commercial building originally constructed in the early 1900s. Today it is a project of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust.
The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust is an economic and cultural development organization established in 1984 It came into existence largely due to the initiative of local industrialist Henry John Heinz II (1908-1987), the grandson of Henry John Heinz (1844-1919) and founder of the food giant H. J. Heinz Company.
Three Stories’ renovated first floor houses a 100-seat black-box theater, a light lock for audience immersion and a thoughtfully designed lobby (featuring original floor and wall tiles) with a dedicated bar and concessions counter that doubles as a ticketing station.
