Preserving is a record shop which also operates three concert venues.

Both the store and the venues are located inside a former church now called New Ken Social, which provides both a space and the opportunity for the people of New Kensington to come together.

New Kensington is a town of some 12,000 people in rural Westmoreland County. A former industrial hub, efforts are being made to revive the community.
