Seton Hill is a Roman Catholic liberal arts university located in rural Westmoreland County.
The university came into existence in 1885 through the efforts of the religious order Sisters of Charity Seton Hill. It is named after the order’s founder, Elizabeth Ann Seton (1774-1821), who became the first native-born American to be canonized in 1975.
Seton Hill’s Performing Arts Center features two professional-level performance spaces for students{ the Reichgut Concert Hall and the Ryan Theatre. The Center also contains classrooms, studios and technical areas designed just for dancers, actors, musicians and costume and set designers to learn and create.
