As its name suggests, Twin Lakes Park is centered on a pair of sister lakes in rural Westmoreland County.

Westmoreland County is located southeast of Pittsburgh. It was created in 1773 and named in honor of a historic part of the United Kingdom dating to at least 1086CE.

Twin Lakes Park balances natural resources and public use and has received national recognition for its facilities and programs that are designed for use by all people. Stone paved walkways, three fishing decks and modified picnic and play areas are a few of the accessible, barrier-free facilities available. Approximate size of the park is 467 acres.
