The Community Park, straddling the towns of Zelienople and Harmony, provides a swimming pool with facilities, a snack bar, 6 ball fields, 3 tennis courts, 2 basketball courts, 7 picnic shelters, a beautiful playground and a walking trail.

Zelienople is a town of 4,000 people in rural Butler County named for the eldest daughter of Baron Dettmar Basse (1762–1836), whose nickname was Zelie. The Baron had purchased the land that now comprises Zelienople in 1802.

Its bordered on the northeast by Harmony, a town of 900 established in 1804 by a religious group called the Harmony Society.

The Community Park was organized in 1949 and was a non-profit, private organization until 2003 when the park became an entity of Zelienople.
