Operated by Marriott International under as of its Autograph Collection brand, The Atterbury is luxury hotel located inside the historic Fulton Building, which was complete in 1906 and named after steamboat pioneer Robert Fulton (1765-1815). The hotel’s name honors architect and urban planner Grosvenor Atterbury (1869-1956), who designed the Fulton.

It shares the building with the Byham Theater.

The hotel features most of the Fulton’s original elements, restored and refurbished for guests to enjoy. This includes the nearly all-granite lobby topped by a rotunda dome covered by copper. The granite came from the same quarry that supplied material for the base of the Statute of Liberty in New York Harbor.

Today, the former office building features nearly three hundred elegant standard rooms and four impressive suites. The ten meeting rooms provide a combined total of 10,000-square-feet of space. Guests enjoy a fitness center, club level and business center.
