One of the most innovative and fascinating presences in modern music, St. Vincent, performs with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.

Founded in 1895 by British composer, conductor and organist Frederic Archer (1838-1901), the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra is one of America’s oldest and most prestigious orchestras having performed around the world including a 2004 concert for Pope John Paul II (1920-2005).

A fascinating polyglot of an artist, singer/songwriter Annie “St. Vincent” Clark adds touches of classical music to enrich her emotionally intricate blend of rock and jazz.

Her stage name was inspired by Saint Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center, an institution in New York City since 1849 and where the Welsh poet Dylan Thomas (1914-1953) famously died of pneumonia.
