Narrative, music and immersive theatre are blended to create a moving and inspiring piece of art honoring the heroes and lost lives of 9/11.
Islamic terrorists attacked the United States on September 11, 2001 (colloquially known as “9/11”). The primary targets were the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City. A pair of hijacked airplanes were deliberately crashed into the buildings, initiating uncontrolled implosions that destroyed the towers and killed thousands of people. Other planes crashed in Washington, DC and rural Pennsylvania.
This show features internationally acclaimed trumpeter Dominick Farinacci, retired New York City firefighter Bill Spade and U.S. military veteran Jaymes Poling. Their stories, woven together with a deeply moving performance by a cast of renowned musicians, unite the audience in remembrance and reflection.
Presented by nonprofit organization Modern Warrior, which creates productions and programs centered around personal stories of loss, endurance and how people carry life-changing experiences forward.
