Born in New York City during the 1970s, hip-hop is a genre of stylized rhythmic music that commonly accompanies a rhyming chant (“rapping”). Many believe that “hip hop” was first coined in 1978 by artist Robert “Keef Cowboy” Wiggins (1960-1989).
This is a night dedicated to the style and rhythms of the 200’s.
