The cocktail is a mixed alcoholic drink that first appeared around 1800 (although its origin may be much earlier). There are various types of cocktails, based on the number and kind of ingredients (alcohol and non-alcohol) added. Because a cocktail is a “diluted” drink, many historians believe that the word originated with the phrase “cocktailed horse.” The phrase refers to the custom of docking tails of horses that were not thoroughbred.
The best part is you get to drink them after creating them.
