This lecture offers a special look at a special residence that was created as a work of art.
That special residence is a masterpiece of modernity designed by German American architect Walter Gropius (1883-1969) and Hungarian American architect Marcel Breuer (1902-1981) at the behest of local engineer and inventor Robert Frank. The house is a total work of art, integrating architecture, furnishings and landscape. It remains in the ownership of Frank’s decedents.
