Dating back to 1918, Camp Guyasuta is a 175-acre park and camp operated by a local branch of the Boy Scouts of America and named after a historic Indian diplomat.

Guyasuta (circa 1725 – circa 1794) was an important leader of the Seneca people in the second half of the eighteenth century. The Seneca are a group of indigenous Iroquoian-speaking people native to much of North America including the region that eventually became Pittsburgh.

Established in 1910, the Boy Scouts of America seeks to train youth in responsible citizenship, character development, and self-reliance through participation in a wide range of outdoor activities, educational programs and, career-oriented programs.

Camp Guyasuta offers trails, swimming pool, wilderness activities and an education/conference center.
