Ormsby is a two-acre urban park and recreation center constructed in the 1950’s and has been remodeled several times in the succeeding years.

The facility is named in honor of John Ormsby (1720-1805), a veteran of the American Revolution (1765-1783) and was among the first settlers in what is now Pittsburgh.

Assets include a weight room, basketball court, playground (pictured), swimming pool and baseball field.

STANDARD OPERATING HOURS:
The recreation center is open Monday through Friday, Noon to 8:00pm; Saturday, 10:00am to 2:00pm. Call for further information.

PARKING:
On-street parking is available.
