Union Project is a non-profit arts and community center located inside a renovated, abandoned church.
The church was built in 1904 as the East Liberty Second Presbyterian Church and eventually was known as the Union Baptist Church. This striking, gothic structure was vacated in the 1990s and remained empty until a group of civic minded young adults dedicated their time and effort to transforming it into Union Project.
As Union Project, the church is home to various arts organizations, classes, live performances and a coffee shop.
