The First Presbyterian Church is a dynamic, transforming church, where all are welcome, lives are changed, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ is lived and proclaimed.

Presbyterian is a branch of Protestant Christianity rooted in the concept developed by French theologian John Calvin (1509-1564) who argued that the sum of human wisdom consists of two parts: the knowledge of God and of us. Continuous study of the scriptures, theological writings and church doctrine are encouraged in Presbyterianism.

The handsome Gothic church was designed by noted architect Theophilus Parsons Chandler Jr. (1845-1928) and completed in 1905. It’s over 250 beautiful stained-glass windows include some created by the legendary decorative artist Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848-1933).
