Constructed in 1998, the Island Sports Center is a multi-use facility owned and operated by Robert Morris University to provide a range of athletic facilities to students and area sports enthusiasts, with an emphasis on ice activities. It is also known as the 84 Lumber Arena, after local building supplies company 84 Lumber which has acquired the naming rights.

Robert Morris University is a private university founded in 1921 and is named in honor of financier Robert Morris (1734-1806), who was a signer of the American Declaration Of Independence. Their core campus is located in a small town called Moon, which is situated northwest of Pittsburgh.

The Island has several skating rinks, a golf range, fitness center and various athletic fields.

STANDARD HOURS:
The primary part of the center is open daily, 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

PARKING:
Free, on-site parking is available.
