The legendary British comedy team Monty Python brilliantly spoofs the King Arthur legend.
King Arthur was a legendary British monarch and general who supposedly led the defense of the kingdom against invaders in the late 5th and early 6th centuries. His base is the impressive castle called Camelot. The various Arthur narratives are mainly composed of folklore and literary invention. A common feature of these narratives involve the chalice of Christ (4BCE – 30CE) known as the Holy Grail. The legend of Arthur has inspired may other stories across all media for centuries.
This adaptation is a wonderfully silly adventure about a group of ridiculous heroes on what may be a hopeless quest. Local improv troupe The Harvey Wallbangers adds to the evening’s fun. For more information, call (412) 904-3225.
